broken people

when we first heard kyle puccia’s song ‘broken people’ we were immediately hit, each of us in our own way, but the emotion of the song is raw and generous. it didn’t take long to come up with the concept for the music video – it was all already there in the song itself – just not quite literally so.

the lyrics of the song itself tells a variety of different stories with a complete array of characters, but chad had something different in mind. he thought the spirit of the song would be better served if the video deviated from a literal translation. in that spirit came the story of a single couple trapped in a kind of hell from which one of the two can envision only one route of escape.
